Sunresin Strengthens Raw Material Supply with Acquisition of Ningxia Baoyun New Materials
Sunresin has completed the acquisition of 100% of Ningxia Baoyun New Materials, strengthening its supply chain for divinylbenzene (DVB), a key raw material used in the production of adsorption and separation materials.
The acquisition represents an important step in Sunresin’s long-term strategy to support the development of high-performance materials, specialty resins, and new products for demanding applications. By expanding into the upstream production of DVB, Sunresin will gain greater control over the quality, availability, and consistency of a critical raw material used across its product portfolio.

Supporting the Growth of High-Performance Products
In recent years, Sunresin has continued to expand its business in drinking water treatment, ultrapure water, life sciences, chromatography, and other high-value applications. Sales of Seplite® and Seplife® products have grown steadily, supported by increasing demand for high-performance adsorption and separation materials.
The reliable supply of high-quality raw materials is essential to maintaining consistent product performance and supporting continued innovation.
DVB is one of the primary crosslinking monomers used in polymeric adsorption and separation materials. It plays an especially important role in specialty resins where pore structure, mechanical strength, chemical stability, swelling behavior, and separation performance must be precisely controlled.
Through the acquisition of Ningxia Baoyun New Materials, Sunresin is strengthening the upstream foundation required to support the development and production of these advanced materials.

Established DVB Production Capabilities
Ningxia Baoyun New Materials was established in 2019 and operates a modern DVB production line with an annual capacity at the ten-thousand-ton scale.
Its production process uses vacuum dehydrogenation of diethylbenzene to produce crude DVB, followed by distillation and purification to obtain refined products. The production route is mature and stable, with established process control, operational safety, and reliable large-scale supply capabilities.
Sunresin and Ningxia Baoyun New Materials have worked together for several years. This existing relationship provides a solid foundation for the integration of raw material production with Sunresin’s material development, manufacturing, and quality management systems.
Greater Supply Security and Quality Control
The acquisition will enable Sunresin to improve the security and stability of its DVB supply while reducing exposure to external supply disruptions and raw material price volatility.
Greater control over upstream capacity will also allow Sunresin to align raw material specifications more closely with the requirements of its resin products. This is particularly important for high-performance and specialty applications, where small variations in raw material quality may affect polymer structure, pore distribution, mechanical properties, and final product consistency.
By integrating DVB production with downstream resin manufacturing, Sunresin can strengthen quality control throughout the value chain and support the stable delivery of products across its major business segments.
This enhanced supply capability will also provide a stronger foundation for product development, technical upgrades, and the commercialization of new adsorption and separation materials.
Strengthening Sunresin’s Integrated Capabilities
Sunresin has built its business around long-term investment in adsorption and separation materials and continuous technological innovation.
The company’s capabilities have expanded from the development and manufacturing of core materials to integrated process equipment, application technology, and technical services. The acquisition of Ningxia Baoyun New Materials extends this model further upstream to include a strategically important raw material.
This broader integration will strengthen Sunresin’s ability to coordinate raw material quality, material synthesis, product development, industrial manufacturing, and customer delivery.
For customers, the acquisition supports more reliable supply, consistent product quality, and faster development of materials for specialized operating conditions.
Building Long-Term Value Through Material Innovation
Sunresin will continue to focus on adsorption and separation technologies while investing in the capabilities required to support high-performance products and emerging applications.
The addition of DVB production capacity will enhance Sunresin’s resilience, reinforce its technology platform, and support the continued growth of Seplite®, SepLife®, and other specialty material product lines.
Looking ahead, Sunresin will continue to advance material innovation, improve supply chain reliability, and develop next-generation adsorption and separation technologies for customers worldwide.
By combining stable access to critical raw materials with continuous product and process innovation, Sunresin is strengthening its ability to create long-term value for customers, partners, and shareholders.
