With its tailored pore structure, LSF 960 enables efficient adsorption of a wide range of pesticides while minimizing color removal, making it especially suitable for maintaining the natural appearance and quality of red fruit juices.
Key Features
- Efficient removal of over 100 types of pesticides
- Minimal impact on juice color and quality
- Tailored pore structure for selective adsorption
- Suitable for red fruit juice processing
- Stable performance in industrial operations
Applications
- Cherry juice
- Sour cherry juice
- Strawberry juice
- Pomegranate juice
- Red grape juice
- Other red fruit and vegetable juices
Product Type
Non-functionalized adsorbent resin (styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer)
Regulatory Compliance
- Compliant with FDA (U.S. Food & Drug Administration) for food contact applications
- Meets Council of Europe Resolution AP(97)1 for ion exchange and adsorbent resins used in food processing
- Suitable for food applications after proper pre-treatment
Recommended Operation
Resin Pre-treatment
- Wash with 2 BV ethanol solution
- Rinse with purified water until ethanol odor is eliminated
Regeneration
- Treat with 2–3 BV of 2% hot caustic solution (80°C)
- Flow rate: 2 BV/h
Acid Neutralization (Optional)
- Use 0.5 BV of 2% phosphoric acid
- Flow rate: 2 BV/h
- Purpose: reduce rinsing water consumption and sodium content
Water Rinsing
- Rinse with water until neutral pH (~7)
- Resin is then ready for reuse
Storage & Handling
- Store in sealed containers or bags
- Keep in a cool area with temperature above 0°C
Safety Precautions
- Avoid eye contact; rinse immediately with plenty of water if exposure occurs
