Fluorine is one of the trace elements needed by human body, which is mainly accumulated in human bones and teeth. Constant fluorine is helpful to prevent dental caries. However, if the fluorine content in drinking water is more than 1ppm, the teeth will gradually have spots and become brittle; if it is more than 4ppm, it will cause fluorosis, and lead to bone marrow deformity and harm human health. Therefore, the country has clear requirements for fluorine content in drinking water (less than 1ppm). For the discharge requirements of fluorine content in industrial wastewater, some regions have also raised the national discharge standard of less than 10ppm to less than 1ppm, which brings challenges to the precision removal of fluorinein industrial wastewater.

At present, there are two main methods to remove fluorine from wastewater in the market: chemical method and adsorption method.

However, in the adsorption process, the conventional adsorbents (such as zeolite, activated alumina, etc.) in the precision treatment of fluorine, there are some problems such as large fluctuation, low treatment capacity and obvious attenuation. However, conventional anion exchange resin has a low selectivity to fluorine due to the limitation of ion selectivity order. In competitive exchange adsorption, fluorine ion is at a disadvantage, which affects the removal effect of the resin on fluorine ion.

LSC-760 special resin for defluorination developed by Sunresin is a new nano metal loaded polymer resin. The resin has a single selectivity for fluorine ions in the water phase. Compared with the conventional anion exchange resin, the resin has the characteristics of high selectivity, large processing capacity, high processing accuracy, less resin consumption under the same working conditions, and long service life (generally more than years). Through pilot test and industrial verification of many industrial enterprises, the fluorine content in the effluent can be maintained below 1ppm stably, and the resin performance is stable and reliable.
