Aquarium Treatment

Water quality is paramount to the health and stability of aquariums and other controlled eco-systems. Contaminants such as: Chlorine, Chloramine, Heavy Metals, Ammonia, Nitrates, Dissolved Solids and Organics must be removed.

Water must be purified before it is introduced into a living system and contaminants that may naturally build up in a closed habitat need to be removed.

Aquarium treatment involves surprisingly sophisticated chemistry. Water chemistry required for healthy aquariums is as varied as the life forms that thrive in them. Aquarium treatment includes conventional deionization and color indicator resins as well as granular carbon and adsorbant medias that are selective for specific contaminants such as silica, ammonia, phosphate, nitrate, etc.

Seplite offers a large number of ion exchange resins and adsorbent medias suitable for use in the aquarium industry.
