Polar & nonpolar-Polymeric Adsorbents for Plant Extraction
There are some common adsorbents for plant extraction,which is selected according to Similar compatibility principle. You can select the corresponding resin with different polarity,surface activity. These resins could solve most separation problem.
Sunresin Macroporous Adsorbents are Classified into Three Categories According to the Skeleton:
1.Styrene-divinylbenzene polymer
Without any functional groups, the skeleton is more hydrophobic, and it can adsorb organic substances in the solution by interaction with the hydrophobic portion in the small molecule, and is most suitable for adsorbing non-polar substances or polar substances in polar solvents. Such as saponins and flavonoids;

2. Methacrylate polymer
The ester-containing adsorption resin has both hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces. It can adsorb non-polar substances in polar solvents and polar substances such as alcohols and phenols in non-polar solvents.

3. Polar polymer
a skeleton containing a hetero atom such as NOS

An adsorption resin containing a nitrogen, oxygen, or sulfur polar functional group such as an amide group, a cyano group, or a phenolic hydroxyl group, which adsorbs a polar substance by electrostatic interaction.

Acetic Acid Purification with Sunresin’s Ion Exchange Resins

Sunresin provides a mature ion exchange resin process for acetic acid purification, which can remove bromine or chloride ions in acetic acid to less than 5ppm, or undetectable levels. The fixed bed mode is recommended for the ion exchange process for acetic acid purification, which runs continuously and removes impurities through the front and back resin columns to improve the removal accuracy and ensure the maximum utilization of the resins.
